Built into your training
You could add another forearm routine—or make your current workout train your grip. Rope changes your connection to the equipment, adding a grip challenge to movements you already know.
Start with assisted hangs. Build time and control before increasing the challenge.
Add a rope-grip challenge to pull-ups and rows, with a load you can control.
Use compatible dumbbells or kettlebells for carries that do not require a full-bodyweight hang.

Understand it before you load it
The attachment is a girth hitch. You do not need to slide the grips onto the end of an open bar.
Place the loop around compatible equipment, with enough clearance for the grip and your hand.
Bring the handle through the loop, then pull the hitch snug around the attachment point.
Inspect the grips, equipment and attachment before loading. Start with assistance or a lighter load and stay in control.
Grip the rope, not the finishing wrap. Inspect the grips, equipment and attachment before each session. Start light and stay in control.
Find your starting point
Level 1 is a versatile starting point. Level 2 adds a harder grip challenge; choose it for the exercise and load, including lighter cable work with the adapter.

Know what is in your hands
Texture, attachment space and installed length all affect the experience. Here is where to check the fit before you buy.

Single version: one matching pair of rope grips. Level 1 + 2 bundle: one Original jute pair and one Level 2 Natural cotton pair. Training equipment, chalk and cable adapters are not included.
Dimensions are approximate. The handle length varies slightly from pair to pair and is typically 7 inches; this is the usable handle, not the total rope length.
Level 1 Original uses jute rope. Level 1 Black and Level 2 Natural use cotton rope. Standard is our original construction for personal training. Pro adds protection around the finishing wrap for shared equipment and includes a one-year limited warranty. Both options use the same rope gripping surface. The finishing wrap is not a handhold.
Jute grips: Do not wash or soak. Gently remove loose dirt with a soft, dry brush. Keep dry and store in a well-ventilated area. Do not machine wash, heat dry, or apply oils.
Cotton grips: Hand wash in cool water only. Hang to dry completely before use or storage. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.
The Monkee Grip idea
You should not need a tall ceiling or a full climbing rope just to add rope-grip work to your day. Monkee Grip puts that challenge into a compact pair of handles—for the gym you train in and the routine you already have.

Still unsure about your setup? Ask us before you order.
Email Monkee GripYou do not need to begin with a full-bodyweight hang. Start with assistance or lighter carries, and use Level 1 as your starting point. The Start Here guide shows the progression.
Open the Start Here training guideThe grips attach using a girth hitch around a compatible attachment point, rather than sliding onto the end of a bar. Check the setup demonstration and the final fit limits before use.
See the setupNot automatically. Level 2 is a harder grip option, not a requirement or an elite-only product. You can use Level 1 for hangs and Level 2 for lighter cable exercises. Choose a grip and load you can control; a two-minute hang is not a prerequisite for cable training.
Use the Cable Adapter Kit, sold separately, to connect Original Jute, Black Cotton or Level 2 Monkee Grips to a cable machine. Check the attachment point and that the carabiner gates close fully. Machines with unusually small eyelets may need an additional suitable gym connector.
View the Cable Adapter KitFree USPS Economy shipping on domestic U.S. orders, with an estimated delivery time of 5–7 business days. A paid USPS Priority Mail upgrade is available, with an estimated transit time of 2–3 days after USPS accepts the shipment. Delivery estimates depend on the destination and are not guaranteed.
Read the current shipping policyTo start a return, contact info@monkeegrip.com within 30 days of delivery. Grips must be unused to qualify for a change-of-mind return. Customers pay return shipping.
If your grips arrive damaged or something is wrong with them, contact us with your order number and a description of the issue. We cover return shipping for defective or damaged grips. The unused-only requirement applies to change-of-mind returns, not defect claims. This return policy does not limit your rights under applicable law.
Standard is the recommended choice for most athletes using their own grips, including personal training and home gyms. Pro was developed for gym owners, coaches, and shared training spaces where many people handle the same equipment. It adds protection around the finishing wrap and includes a one-year limited warranty. Both options use the same rope gripping surface. Always grip the rope, not the finishing wrap.
All orders are covered by our return and damaged-product policies. Change-of-mind returns must be initiated within 30 days of delivery, and grips must be unused. Customers pay return shipping unless the grips are defective or arrived damaged.
Pro construction also includes a one-year limited warranty. Coverage applies to grips purchased with Pro construction or with the matching Pro upgrade in the same order. Standard construction does not include an additional Monkee Grip written warranty. This does not limit your rights under applicable law.
PRO LIMITED WARRANTY: One year from delivery, covering defects in materials or workmanship in the upgraded grips under intended training use and care. Monkee Grip will repair or replace a covered defective grip at no charge and cover required return and replacement shipping. If repair or replacement is unavailable, we will refund the affected grip and its Pro upgrade. Normal wear, ordinary jute shedding, cosmetic changes, and damage caused by misuse, unsuitable attachments, modifications, or improper care are excluded. To request coverage, email info@monkeegrip.com with proof of purchase, a description, and photos if available. The 30-day change-of-mind return deadline does not shorten this warranty. You have specific legal rights and may also have other rights that vary by state.
