MONKEE GRIP / PT & PERFORMANCE CLINICS

Grip-training options for the people you work with.

Explore Monkee Grips as an exercise tool for your clinic or performance practice. Plan supported pulling and compatible cable setups around your equipment, with exercise selection led by your clinical team.

FOR PHYSICAL THERAPISTS & PERFORMANCE PROFESSIONALS

A different interface for familiar exercises.

Monkee Grips change what the person holds. Your team determines whether that grip, exercise and setup fit the individual’s needs and the purpose of the session.

Supported pulling positions

Consider a suitable anchor in front of the person for supported leans or rows. Your team selects positioning and support; full bodyweight hanging is not the only way to use the grips.

Adjustable cable resistance

Use the Cable Adapter Kit with compatible cable equipment to explore rows and other suitable movements. Select the load and grip for the exercise rather than assuming one grip level fits every task.

Performance training

For appropriate clients, explore grip-focused holds, pulls or carries within a professional-led strength program. Equipment selection and progression remain with the practitioner.

Monkee Grips are training equipment. No diagnosis-specific protocol, treatment outcome or rehabilitation benefit is promised on this page.

START WITH YOUR WORKFLOW

Plan for concurrent sessions, not your appointment list.

Illustrative planning example: a five-pair setup could allocate two pairs to suitable cable stations, two to supervised pulling areas and one as a spare. A spare pair is not an additional active station. Your layout and care procedures determine the usable capacity.

Count active users

One station starts with one pair for one person at a time. Base quantities on concurrent sessions and available supporting equipment, rather than the total number of clients you see.

Allow for care and storage

Decide where grips and matching hardware are stored, who checks them and how equipment moves through your approved care process between users.

Start smaller when appropriate

A single practitioner may need fewer than five pairs. Choose Custom in the inquiry form and describe the stations or trial you want to equip.

FOR SMALL PRACTICES & INITIAL EVALUATIONS

Start with the quantity you need.

A single practitioner may need fewer than five pairs. Tell us about your equipment and the setup you want to evaluate.

Request the quantity your practice needs.

The station counts below are starting points for a written quote. Custom quantities are available to discuss, including smaller evaluation setups.

STARTER SETUP

5 stations

A small practice setup, configured around the equipment and concurrent users you actually have.

TEAM SETUP

10 stations

Several practitioners sharing equipment across treatment or performance training areas.

FACILITY SETUP

25 stations

A larger program or multiple locations with a defined equipment and care plan.

Each planned station starts with one pair of grips. Supporting machines, bars and mounting infrastructure are not included. Grip types, reinforcement, accessories, shipping and timing are confirmed in the quote. Use Custom for fewer than five pairs or a different quantity.

EVALUATE FIT BEFORE PLACING EQUIPMENT

Check grip feel, connections and care requirements.

The right setup must fit both the intended exercise and the way your practice manages shared equipment.

Grip material & diameter

Compare Original Jute, Black Cotton and Level 2 for feel and exercise demands. Black Cotton has less initial shedding than jute; that does not establish clinical suitability or disinfectant compatibility. Level 2 can be considered for lighter cable work without a two-minute hang requirement.

Hardware & clearance

Confirm cable attachment points, connector fit and space for the intended movement. Ask about adapter hardware, extension slings and GymPro reinforcement where relevant; these do not replace compatibility checks.

Cleaning & shared use

Ask for material-specific care guidance before choosing cleaning methods. Your practice should determine whether the equipment can meet its hygiene requirements. No sterilization or disinfectant compatibility is assumed.

Using a bar? See the three-step attachment guide

This guide covers bar attachment. Cable adapters and extension slings have their own setup requirements.

Attach Monkee Grips to a suitable bar: loop over the bar, feed the grip through the loop, and pull the hitch tight. Grip the rope only; the black band is not a handle.

LET YOUR TEAM EVALUATE THE FIT

Give the evaluation a clear purpose.

Start with a practitioner-led equipment review. Assess the setup and handling before deciding whether to introduce it to clients or expand quantities.

  1. Review the intended use

Identify the exercises, supporting equipment and users you have in mind. The responsible professional determines suitability and any restrictions for the individual.

  2. Check the equipment and workflow

Review attachment, grip feel, space, inspection and care procedures. Confirm how staff will prepare, supervise and store the equipment.

  3. Document the equipment decision

Record useful feedback about fit, handling and operational requirements. Keep client-specific clinical notes in your practice’s own records; send us equipment questions without patient information.

KEEP PURCHASING STRAIGHTFORWARD

Tell us what your practice needs.

We can discuss equipment configurations and ordering requirements with the person responsible for purchasing.

Describe the practice setup

Include the practice type, locations, desired quantity, existing equipment, delivery location and target timing. Please do not include patient names, diagnoses or treatment records.

Request a quote or evaluation sample

Use the hub form to choose an equipment quote, sample request or planning help. Flag any W-9/vendor setup, purchase-order review or tax-exemption documentation your buyer requires.

Confirm before ordering

Sample availability and any cost, itemized pricing, shipping, lead time and payment terms require confirmation. An inquiry does not place an order or establish credit terms.

Questions practice teams ask

Is this a rehabilitation protocol or medical treatment?

No. This page describes equipment and purchasing options. It does not prescribe treatment, establish clinical effectiveness or replace a clinician’s assessment and exercise selection.

Does someone need to hang from their full bodyweight?

No. Supported pulling positions and suitable cable setups are other possible uses. A qualified professional determines whether an exercise and the selected equipment are appropriate for the individual.

Can Level 2 be used for light cable exercises?

It can be considered by the supervising professional. Grip diameter, resistance, movement and individual control all matter. A two-minute full hang is not a prerequisite for exploring Level 2 with a lighter cable load.

Can a small practice order fewer than five pairs?

Yes, you can request a custom quantity. Select Custom in the hub form and enter the number of pairs and any accessories you want quoted. Evaluation samples are reviewed individually, with availability and any cost confirmed before shipment.

Can we disinfect these between clients?

Do not assume compatibility with your usual disinfectant or sterilization process. Request care guidance for the specific material and have your practice assess it against its hygiene requirements before introducing shared use.
