🐒 Introducing the Monkee Grip Dead Hang Challenge

At Monkee Grip, we’re all about finding fun, simple ways to build real-world grip strength. That’s why we’re launching the Monkee Grip Dead Hang Challenge — and we want YOU to join in!

What is the Monkee Grip Dead Hang Challenge?

It’s simple:
1️⃣ Grab a pair of the level 1 Monkee Grips. (Jute or Black) 
2️⃣ Hang on as long as you can — film and record your max hold time.
3️⃣ Post it on Instagram and Tag @monkeegrips and use #MonkeeGripGames and #MonkeeGripHangChallenge.


 

🏋️♂️ Format & Structure

  • Format: Max hold time using Level 1 Monkee Grips.

  • Divisions: Separate leaderboards for Men and Women.

  • Duration: One week only — June 22nd to June 28th.

  • Submissions: Virtual — post your video on Instagram and tag us, or send it directly to @monkeegrips.

  • No entry fee — this challenge is open to everyone!


📋 Entry & Sign-Up

  • Who can enter? Anyone!

  • How to sign up? Just post your video on Instagram or send it to @monkeegrips. No registration or fees needed.

  • Number of competitors: Unlimited — bring your friends!


⚖️ Rules & Judging

Here’s how to make your effort count:

Equipment

  • Only Original Monkee Grips may be used.

  • Show the grips in the video if submitting virtually.

Grip & Body Position

  • Only your hands may touch the grips. No wrapping around your wrists or body.

  • Feet and body must remain fully suspended — no touching the ground, walls, or objects.

  • Minor swinging is okay, but no kipping, climbing, or “walking” motions.

Start & End Signals

  • Start: Feet off the ground and fully supported by the grips.

  • End: The moment any part of your body touches the floor, wall, or object.

  • Regripping (releasing and re-grabbing) is allowed.

Video & Judging

  • Full-body view must be visible the entire time.

  • No cuts, edits, or camera movements.

  • Longest hang time wins!

Chalk is allowed

  • P.S. Our Monkee Grip Liquid Chalk is available and perfect for staying dry during those long hangs!

Disqualification Criteria

  • Any body part touches the floor or wall.

  • Hand touches the black whipping at the end of the grips.

  • Video cuts off part of your body during the hang.

  • Evidence of tampering with the footage.
